St James Lettings is a newly established Letting Agency serving the Mid-Sussex area. We have a Team that has been working in the lettings industry throughout Sussex for many years. All landlords are assigned a dedicated property manager who may be contacted 24 hours a day. The property manager is responsible for all aspects of the let, which enables a continuity of service with someone who has the knowledge of the different and unique aspects of your property. We understand that as a Landlord you trust us to oversee one of your main assets, which needs to be well managed and maintained so that you can receive the highest return on your investment.

Services we provide

St James Lettings has three tiers of service available: Full Management, Let Only Service or upon request a Rent Collection Only Service. For both the Full Management Service and Let Only Service the following are applicable.

  • Marketing - St James Lettings has a dedicated website at www.stjameslettings.co.uk and we find that this is where the majority of tenant leads come from. This is an interactive website which allows tenants to search for properties, register their details and also see where the property is situated by having google map attached to each property.
  • Advertising - We advertise in numerous publications throughout Mid-Sussex including the property plus and the Argus.
  • To Let Boards - We find this does help with the marketing of your property. However, a board is only erected after permission has been obtained from you, as the landlord.
  • Mailing List - We have an extensive mailing list which consists of professional prospective tenants. We mail out our property lists to relocation agents monthly.
  • Brochures - We produce details of your property and these are sent out to prospective tenants.

Fees: Full Management Service

Our rates for our Fully Managed Service are negotiable.
Inventory Fee / Administration Fee: an initial set up fee charged for the Inventory at the commencement of a new let. ₤57.50
Non-Routine Management: For project management of major repairs or renovation where the totalcost exceeds ₤1,000. 15% of total cost. Deduction and payment of tax for non-resident Landlords: ₤100 per quarter

Fees: For Let Only

Fees: Our fee for this service is two weeks rent for a six month tenancy.
Serving Notice: This fee is charged when you instruct us to serve the appropriate notice to the tenant. ₤35.25
